Immobilizer Systems (Air-Core Coils)
For many OEMs our LF immobilizer coils are a vital component in vehicle theft prevention devices. In the majority of applications they are located on the ignition lock itself. The coils serve as transmitters and receivers for the theft prevention system, and they are responsible for communication with the transponder in the vehicle key.
SUMIDA AG uses the specified installation space to determine the best design solution for the customer with regard to electronic performance and process capability at the lowest possible cost. A major part of the required components and processes, such as coil bodies, winding, soldering/welding and coating is manufactured and conducted in-house. For quality assurance the antennas pass through a 100 percent outgoing quality control before being shipped.
Our customers have the choice of the following body versions:
- Air coil with its own connector outlet
- Air coil with cable outlet
- Air coils with housing for evaluation electronics with soldering or press-fit technology
- Air coils, coated or clipped lid
